This week was green and gold, blue and pink!

Green and gold, blue and pink, life is full of color and this week was no exception!  Thank you for stopping by this week’s weekly wrap.  Active women supporting active women!  Make sure to stop by and say Hi! to Holly and Tricia who make this link up happen!

Sunday on the plan:  REST!

Time for the green and gold!  The Green Bay Packers rolled into Dallas and pulled a win out!  I mean PULLED a win out!  We STILL have company so it was a lot of food, maybe a glass or three of wine and fun!

Monday on the plan:  30 minutes plus drills

The hubby’s family left in the morning and I went to work.  I think my hubby was so excited we had the house to ourselves that he wanted to meet for happy hour after work.  There went my cardio! This Blue Apron dinner post was this week’s most popular Instagram post- you all must have been hungry!

Tuesday on the plan:  4 mile progression run

The goal was to start with one easy mile, ramp it up and hit my 10:00 mile at the end. I look speedy flying thru the dark morning, right?   AVG HR 162

Wednesday on the plan:  REST

Yoga after work was a great class.  60 minutes of stretching and poses. I don’t think our instructor felt all that great and we spent most of the time near the ground.  It was fine with me!  AVG HR 84

Thursday on the plan:  3 mile temp run

One mile easy, one mile at 10:00 and another easy mile.  I like these quick fun runs in the morning! 11:41/9:55/10:13

Today I got the big news I was waiting on!  The kids had an ultrasound appointment and we found out the baby is a girl!  My week just turned pink!  It’s amazing to see the first ultrasound picture and see her. My heart is already swelling with excitement!

Friday on the plan:  REST

The hubby is out-of-town in Detroit for a Detroit Tigers event and I have the house to myself!  No better way to kick off the weekend than an extra yoga class!  Happy hour yoga was filled with core work!  Not sure how happy hour and the words “core work” go together but dang it, it’s done!  60 minutes AVG HR 78

Saturday on the plan:  10 miles

The sky was so pretty and blue on Saturday.  As a matter of fact, it has been a nice blue sky kind of week most of the week.  Winter in Florida, yes I will say it again, it is hard to beat!  My BRF and I met at 7 to hammer out these miles.  During the week my training miles are in my neighborhood, it is dark and it is flat.  Fitbit gives me credit for only one floor.

On the weekends we meet out on the main boulevard and basically run across town, up and back over the bridge and talk the entire time.  Fitbit gives us credit for 21 floors on Saturday.  This run has a little twist.  Coach M wanted me to hit a 10:00 pace for mile 6 & 7.  Well, we sure did not plan that right.  We just finished the bridge and those 2 miles were at an incline and we headed back across town!  10:13/10:38 whew!

The hubby is still at of town but my house is filling back up!  I got rid of one man and got 2 more!  Yes, 2 more!  My hubby’s long time friend from Wisconsin got in Saturday afternoon for the week and JL’s hubby came in for a conference and wanted to visit on Saturday. He brought me the mugs pictured above- cute, right?  So the guys and i went out for a quick dinner and headed downtown to the brewery to meet friends and listen to the band.  They are both still sleeping and you know it, I am drinking coffee and working on this post.

We have more green and gold action this afternoon #goPackgo, more blue skies are in the forecast with cooler temps coming and my world is now forever pink.  Life is good.

What color was your week?

  1. If I had to pick a color for the week, it would be gray. Gray skies, and I wore a lot of gray. January in Chicago is like that!

    So sad about the Pack!

  20. The sky was the most beautiful blue yesterday which was fitting as we unfortuntately had to attend a funeral for a friend of my husbands. The sun was shining down and the sky was bright blue. However today, we are having a freezing rain storm so it’s great and gross!
Congrats on the granddaughter – lots of pink!
