The week my workouts went missing!

Well if last weeks workouts were not pitiful enough, let me introduce you to this week! Pitiful, pitiful, pitiful.

 Tuesday  75 min yoga class

WOW!  Talk about putting it on the edge!  LOL!  I finished round one of the antibiotics and Wednesday was the big day to get the stitches out from the knife wound on the top of my foot.  My foot was bothering me.  It was red and still very sore 🙁 .  One of the girls made a comment about it and I looked down at my foot and the redness was  up and over the ankle.  I text a picture to my doctor, who told me I needed to come in sooner  than later.  3 x-rays were taken, I got a shot in the a$$ for the world class infection I now have and another round of antibiotics on top of that! For the love of Christmas, really!!!!  I know something else is still in my foot I feel it but the x-ray shows nothing.

Thursday and Friday turn into two more nice rest days and I start psyching myself up for Saturday’s 7 mile Sole Sister run!

JL and I agreed it would be perfect in our training plan.  JL was in Phoenix and me in Winter Haven. I recruited another friend to run with me and we were off! 7 at 7 am!

The foot held up but wow, when I pulled that shoe off!  I iced it down while the hubby made scrambled eggs 🙂 !  I was feeling pretty good and then I mentioned to the hubby that we really needed to trim up my avocado tree.  Well that turned into a 3 hour yard workout but look at my harvest!

Total steps for Saturday, 24724!  During my yard workout I received this message from my doctor.  This is never ending!

Sunday morning rolls around and thank goodness for those new Lilytrotter compression socks that I won!  The legs felt great but OH, my a$$!  I don’t know if it was the lawn or the dozen trips I made up my back yard with the wheelbarrow!  WHEW!  I made a fantastic breakfast and we are headed to church.  I am feeling pretty good and it is nothing but a rest day!  After church I grab Katie and we head to the nail spa. I am in desperate need of some work on my feet.  Of course, it is Sunday and there is a wait so good thing the wine bar is next door!  Cheers my friends!

Monday starts a new week and I am game on!  I am waiting on the second opinion on my x-ray and so far they think that the foreign object can stay as is.  As far as the floppy big toe goes well I will keep exercising my toe! How was your week?tutus_mb-01FullSizeRender (30)  Don’t forget to link up with Holly and Tricia for the weekly wrap!

Oh my word, you and your poor foot!!! I hope it starts to feel better soon and they can do something to help with it without needing any sorts of surgery!

  2. HoHo Runs says:

OMG, MB! I hope your foot behaves and you get good news on the second opinion. At least you got in a great “bum” workout by trimming your tree! I’ve always thought yard work to be such great exercise. What will you do with all those avocados? Here’s to a great week. Thanks for linking up with us today!

  3. Wow! Rough week! I hope you toe gets better soon.

  4. Sharon says:

Wow! So sorry to hear about everything with your foot! Way to run 7 miles for the virutal! Hoping the second opinion with the xray is ok!

  5. oh no an infection?! That really sucks. Hope you have a better week this week

  6. Jessica S says:

I’ll be curious to see what you do with all of those avocados – that’s quite a haul! Hope your foot is feeling better soon!

  7. Well Boo MaryBeth on your foot! I do hope that second opinion turns out fine! I had so much fun participating in the Sole Sister Run too. I am seeing so many people that did it, wouldn’t it be great if we could all schedule it about the same time and send support to each of us! We will have to look into the next one! I am so jealous about the wine bar next to the salon. Heck I think they should serve wine while you get your nails done, how relaxing would that be? Humm they may have to wake me up from the massage chair while I get my pedi if I have wine too. Ha Thanks so much for all the love on our link up (facebook and twitter) I do hope your week is much better!

Thank you Tricia! I love the link up and fun to see the weekly updates! I love that all the miles does not slow down the bonding over a virtual run or a virtual cup of coffee! and yes a glass of wine is the only way to enjoy a pedi! 🙂

  8. Ugh! As soon as you said the redness had spread I knew. 🙁 And antibiotics always make me super tired.

What the heck are you going to do with all those avocadoes? Although I have read you can freeze them. And I have a great recipe for double chocolate avocado cookies. They’re not terribly sweet & my husband wasn’t a fan but I thought they were fantastic!

Here’s hoping this second round does the trick & you can get back to normal life.

Thank you Judy! I know my bod is tired of these antibiotics! It slows more than one system down! 🙁 I did not do well freezing them last year- so I need to do some research.

  9. I was offline last week and didn’t know about your foot. OMG that sounds painful, I hope you heal quick:)

  11. So sorry that your foot is still bothering you! At least you got to enjoy some wine:)

  12. What did they tell you about the floppy big toe? That just isn’t right! And I thought I had foot issues…

Just think about how tight your glutes got with all that yard work. Yeah, baby!

    • MB says:

Yeah baby is right! Oh, the floppy toe I still a floppy toe! I think it needs more time to heal but if it is not better I will see a specialist when I return from Italy. 🙂

  13. Marcia says:

OMG I cannot believe your foot is still having issues! Hoping the infection clers pronto. Not sure how you can run on that sucker. Oh wow look at that avocado harvest! Super impressive!

    • MB says:

    • MB says:
