Summer loving, sweating and running!

That’s right, summer loving, sweating and running! Who is with me? There are a lot of things to love about summer. Tank tops, avocados, pineapple, cold wine, tv reruns, sunsets, pool time, good books, golf and finished runs! Heck, I even threw a 5K in this week! How did your holiday week go?   In summary:

Sunday-  rest

Monday-  Yin Yoga 60 minutes AVG HR 70

9 holes of golf with the hubby  2 hours AVG HR 93

Tuesday-  Red, White and Brew 5K.  This race starts at our local FitNiche stores and basically runs thru the parking lot, down a road and back.  Yes, nothing like a run first thing in the morning on a back top in Florida!  The race had 600 runners (great turnout)  and three porta potties (not great) but I lined up with a couple of minutes to spare!  I was also supporting a virtual run with MySoxyFeet so I was happy to have a new tank to wear!  The hubby came with so it was nice to have a cheerleader!  My results came in at an even 30:00!  WHEW!  13 out of 37 in my age group.  Last year there was only 13 in my group!  The race offered pancakes, store discounts and beer specials, all the things you need to start the 4th off with a bang!  AVG HR 164

After a cool off in the pool, my daughter and I took the kayaks out for a little arm workout.  There was not a breeze to be had!  After 30 minutes, we paddled it in so we could get back in the pool!  AVG HR 93

Wednesday-  REST

Thursday-   3 miles, nice and easy!  AVG HR 147

Friday-  ActivMotion Bar where have you been?  It’s been a few weeks!  Shameful, I know!  I selected the Core Workout and got after it!  30 minutes of 100% fat burn with an AVG HR 91.

Saturday-  7 miles.  My BRF is back and we took it to the streets!  Yup, this pretty much sums it up!  AVG HR 150

Saturday afternoon it was back to the golf course!  We got in 8 holes this time before the thunder and lightning ran us off!  AVG HR 99

Total for the week:  13.1 miles,  1 yoga class, 1 bar workout, 30 minutes of kayaking and 17 holes of golf.  LOVE IT!

Reminder, you still have a week to sign up for ZOOMA’s summer challenge!  Details are right here!

Are you summer loving?
