May is my Month- Week Four!

It is week four of my favorite month of the year, thank you ALL for celebrating with ME!  Love it!  Gifts, subscription boxes and such still keep rolling in this week making me feel like one special lady! The hubby and I took to the road this week.  We left on Wednesday and just returned home, so my weekly update is just a little late!  No worries!  I hope you are enjoying a great Memorial day weekend.  If you missed my review of the new RaceHer subscription box, pop over and check it out!

This week’s most liked Instagram post!  Thanks!

Sunday on the plan:  Rest and a little retail therapy.  The hubby text me and changed his flight to a later one so what is a girl supposed to do?  I had 4 unplanned hours I needed to kill!  8078 steps

Monday on the plan:  Feeling guilty from oversleeping and missing Monday morning yoga I took a 1 hour walk.  Let’s just say it is HOT!  AVG HR 114

Tuesday on the plan:  8 X 400!  Yes, 8 of them.  Coach M said the last 4 should be tough and she was not kidding!  I got my warm up mile in and then gave it my best shot!  9:20/9:06/9:06/8:44/8:50/8:59/9:10/9:50  WHEW!  AVG HR 151

Wednesday on the plan:  The hubby needed me to be ready by noon to head to Jupiter for the Florida Sports Foundation conference.  My daughter in law has had contractions on and off for a week and is one centimeter dilated so we decided to take 2 cars.  Car packed and the total body toning workout done with my ActivMotion bar.  AVG HR 93

The weather in Jupiter Beach was not stellar to say the least but it is definitely a beautiful property!

Thursday on the plan:  I had 5 miles on the plan with miles 2-4 to run at 80% HR.  The weather was clear and I left the resort and ran down A1A and came across a beautiful park.  I could see a trail path and I quickly made my way over.  A stumbled across an obstacle course!  I think there were 19 or 20 obstacles to do and then you ran to the next sign.  This made up mile 3 for me and then I continued on to get the last 2 miles in.  It was not exactly what was on the plan but I could not resist!  AVG HR 151

Friday on the plan:  Time to pack up and make our way to Miami Beach for the National Salute to America’s heroes.  Friday was the media day.  The hubby was the speaker and the opening ceremony had a very nice turnout!

We made our way to the hotel after that to check in and attend an OPS meeting.  The hubby was in charge of the sea portion of the show so the schedule and logistics had to be reviewed.  I unpacked and went out for a quick 30 minute walk before we had dinner.  AVG  HR 94

Saturday on the plan:  Air and Sea show.  The hubby’s part started promptly at 6:30am so we were up early and ready to take on the day.  The weather was beautiful! Hot but beautiful!  I went down to the beach and got a 35 minute walk AVG HR 106 in before I made my way down to show center.

Some of my favorite highlights of the day were the B-2 bomber, F-22, the Golden Knights jump team, the air sea rescue demonstration and of course meeting some of our military Generals! There were so many men and women in uniform out and working in the display village it was unbelievable!

We finished the evening with a big party at one of the local bars and the military was out in force! Navy, Air Force, Army and Marines, they were all out and about!

So week four is coming to an end and I still have a couple more days to recap in South Florida.  I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day!  I am enjoying some great seafood and maybe a few cocktails!

2 weeks out to Utah Valley!!!!!   Who else is training for a big summer run?  June is considered summer right?

Link up with Holly and Tricia! Thanks ladies!

No heat here. It seems like cold rain forever — although occasionally we get a break. I’m so ready to soak up some sunshine!

LOL! I felt kind of silly doing the obstacles by myself but really, I know that know one cares so I just went with it!

  20. Retail therapy is always a great option when you have some time to kill. And its also the perfect way to have some “me” time.
