March madness or MBJ 2.0 version

Is it March madness or time for the MBJ 2.0 version?  I have finished 3 full weeks home and my stats have never looked better! These few weeks off have made me realize that I cannot do all things equally well and still be the best me.  Time for MBJ 2.0 version.  What will she look like?  I am not sure but I have some more time to figure her out :).

If you are in Florida you know it is March madness.  There are people everywhere!  If you are not out to eat by 5pm you will wait and wait some more.  It is sheer madness on the roads so runners we have to be extra careful!  Let’s jump to this week’s training plan shall we?  And don’t forget to stop by and visit with Tricia and Holly too!  They are some fun ladies!
Sunday on the plan:  6 miles.  I ran these solo around and around the neighborhood I went.  1:08:00 AVG HR 150   The hubby had plans of sitting by the lake, listening to some live music and having a couple cocktails.  We have to let the old guy have his way every once in awhile- hehe.

Monday on the plan:  REST and Yin Yoga.  I am not going to lie, I am digging this 8am Monday morning class!  This is really how the week should start.  Makes me feel a little like a bad ass.  Yoga, no work! AVG HR 71

Tuesday on the plan:  Pace ladder- 2 X 400/ 2 X 800/ 2 X 400.  I love these!  9:10/9:00- 9:36/9:55- 9:35/10:25  hmm must have pooped out at the end.  4.5 miles AVG HR 150

Wednesday on the plan:  REST and yoga.  Actually I started with a 36 minute walk outside.  AVG HR 126  I met my BRF for our usual Wednesday night yoga class.  We made it thru the chakras and tonight we made it  to the crown! This chakra represents our ability to be fully connected spiritually.  Maybe that is why MBJ 2.0 has been on my mind.   I really enjoyed this series and I hope she teaches it again.  AVG HR 79

Thursday on the plan:  30 minutes of cross training.  WOO HOO!  Time to get out the ActivMotion bar!  I felt super confident during this workout and next week I plan on moving to the next DVD.  AVG HR 96  I got worked up so I decided might as well get a good walk in too.  45 minutes AVG HR 106

Friday on the plan:  4 mile tempo run.  I keep the 2 tempo miles at 10:35 with an AVG HR of 148.  I will take it!

Saturday on the plan:  REST.  Nailed it!  I piddled around with the hubby all day.  Lowe’s, Publix, and a couple of other pitstops and then out for oysters and a couple glasses of wine.  Nothing eventful but a nice day!

So what am I doing with all this time off?  I am trying to stay active, no excuses!  This week I did manage to catch a spring training game, attend a rooftop restaurant opening, host a baby shower planning meeting and got our taxes done!  A very productive week all the way around.  Yes, time to be thinking about MBJ 2.0 version.

If you missed it early this week I posted 2 Gasparilla race recaps, you can view them here and here.  And thanks, this was this week’s most liked Instagram post.  Gasparilla, I am coming back for you in 2018 and I am bringing more friends!!

Do you have a lot of tourists this time of year where you live or are they all in Central Florida?  Two weeks to go and I am NOLA bound!!!  Anyone else coming?

Ok, well I think the swim team counts, although we have Russ Matt baseball , 130 college teams- at least they are out walking around and not driving 🙂

Tourists? Here? Ha! Yeah….no. They’re definitely all in Florida or Mexico. Just us dummies are here. 😉

  10. I think they are all in Florida. As Virginia Beach is still pretty chilly this time of year. Although next weekend there will be plenty of tourists for the race weekend! One of the biggest events in the area will be going on. Great job on your week of workouts!

I’m so happy that you’re feeling well rested and in a better place.

My family lives in AZ so I know how you must feel in FL during spring break season. It’s how they feel in the winter when all the snowbirds come back!

It is looking quite nice on you and a well deserved reset for sure.
I too can’t wait to see what’s in store for MBJ 2.0 and you know I’ve been chomping at the bit to get to see you in New Orleans! 🙂

  14. We have tourists year round in San Diego! My girls were excited to check out the Cherry Blossoms at the Japanese Garden in Balboa Park and I took us awhile to find a parking spot. On the way out, we sat in the lot for at least 20min with all the traffic leaving the park. The girls were patient so I couldn’t complain.

I think your hubby had the perfect plan. Water view, music, cocktail. Ahhh. No tourists here…but I so get it when we are in PCB. I’m glad you are enjoying your break. I think everyone should get a rest and reset (or upgrade their version) now and again. I know you’ll have a blast in NOLA. I’ll be totally green with envy. Thanks for linking, MB!

Your daily dedication is inspiring and Ive always been curious about the ActivMotion bar. I had a teaser at IdeaWorld last year and have considered getting it since. What a great week!

Well, I’m just up 95 from you, so yes, we get tourists. Right now, more of them seem to be heading to central and south Florida, but we will see the increase in traffic and people as more states have their spring breaks.

I’m so glad you’re able to take full advantages of so many classes and fun things. You deserved this, big time. <3

  27. No tourists here. I’m pretty sure they all go south! There’s nothing to see in these parts and it’s still cold and windy. The plus side though – today is above freezing!!! I love all your pictures this week, MB. Personally I like having a week or two at home. Traveling every weekend wears me out!
