Make any day a Valentine’s Day!

Who is ready for a little Valentine’s day action?  Many people believe that Valentine’s day is driven by the greeting cards industry and is another ploy to get people to spend money.  Really?  LOL!  I personally like a great excuse to show my sweet side and pamper or surprise someone I love with something a little extra special!  Need an idea or two?  Read on!

In my house I plan a dinner out and treat my hubby.  I pick a new restaurant every year and it is always a surprise.  I have made some fantastic choices over the last decade and I am looking forward to this year’s adventure.  If you need help picking a restaurant I suggest using the Open table website and/or app.  This is the only way I go and after so many reservations I earn real gift certificates to use for future  adventures.  You know I love a free glass of wine 🙂  That makes an extra win for me!  Just a tip, we never go out on actual Valentine’s day.  This year, Sunday night is our date night.

Want to stay in and have a cozy night in but you don’t feel like a 5 star chef?  Try Blue Apron!  You will receive a recipe card plus all the fresh seasonal ingredients to whip up your own dinner that is sure to impress!  The hubby and I have enjoyed preparing many of our dinners together.  It can turn a, “what’s for dinner” into a culinary adventure for two!  Again, that is fresh ingredients boxed and delivered to your door, it just can’t get easier! Thinking about it?  Comment below and I would love to send you a free trial box.

I know many of you are already planning a few spring and summer adventures.  Let Stitch Fix take some of the responsibility for creating that special look just for you!  Talk about treating yourself, I love it!  I have a new box coming on Feb 15th and I can’t wait to share it with you.  I gave my stylist a fun challenge and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with!  Now is the time to set up your Pinterest style board, you can look at mine and start pinning some great spring fashions!

Please don’t forget that girl friend, that BRF, your stylist or a shut in that could use a little something special!  I already have a few treats ready for my BRF in the morning.  Who else can work all week, hit one yoga class and no matter if I say I need to run 6 or 12 miles she is there?  I came home late last night and found these special treats waiting on me from Coach M!  Thank you! What? I have been smooched!  The box smelled so good I was ready to dive in!  Check out these products from Indigo Wild.  #anymorenaturalandyoudbenaked  Hello, that screams Happy Valentine! Use code WAF16 at the check out and pick your own FREE Zum Bar!  You are welcome!

Finally to round out the Friday 5- sometimes a lady needs to do a little something something for herself.  If the words personal moisture, menopause, recovery, bath oil, pleasure or baby prep mean anything to you then check out Chiavare oil .  You can even put it in your hair and I am rubbing it on my scars.  Let your imagination take over!  It is PH balanced, non-toxic, all natural and edible- what are you waiting for?  You need a discount code- MARYBETH15 will get you 15% off.

Well I think this Valentine’s Day celebration is shaping up nicely!  Do you have any favorites to share?

Thank you Fairytales & Fitness and   Running on Happy for the link up!

We are huge fans of Open Table as well. But yeah not ON Valentine’s Day. Avoid crowds at all costs.

I’d love to know more about Blue Apron. I’ve heard of it, but don’t really know how it works exactly. Is there a commitment, or can you literally just get a box when you want one?

You are committed to your account. They load 4 weeks of menus at a time so I can log in and plan for the month by choosing and skipping the deliveries I want. I will send you an invite to your email and try it if you want. Let me know what you think if you do 🙂

  5. I like how you ended this post with the oil. Perfectly happy ending…

  6. Have you seen a difference in your scars since using the oil? I’ve been looking for years and can never find anything to help mine, although I think they are beyond help.

Have a great weekend and thanks for linking up MB.

No difference yet in the appearance but it helps with keeping the area soft and less itchy. Even the expensive medication cream hasn’t helped with the appearance 🙁 Happy Saturday!

  7. I’m a big fan of Open Table, but we do our best to avoid restaurants on Valentine’s Day – often too crowded for me. I’ve got to find something fun to cook!

I agree- way to crowded, I am curious to see how it will be Sunday night! The hubby gets to be in charge of cooking on the actual holiday 🙂 I hope you have a nice one!

  8. I love using Open Table! And I tried Stitch Fix for the first time last fall. Its great but I try not to order from there too often (because I always end up spending too much!)

    Interesting about the oil…

I use OpenTable as well. But we rarely go out for Valentine’s Day because restaurants get so crazy!

I am thinking of giving stitch fix a try. Do you have a referral code I should use? What price range have you selected? I am weary of saying the cheapest one, as I don’t want to clothes to be cheap. Just curious as to your feelings on the quality of the clothing you get.

We don’t do much for Valentine’s Day. It’s a school night, we both have work, and little man has run club and a playdate. We will probably get a heart-shaped pizza from Papa Murphy’s and go from there LOL.

  14. We are going out, but it can be challenging around here what with blizzards and all! So we usually stick to someplace pretty close to home. Thankfully the forecast for Tuesday still seems ok, the snow should stop by sometime tomorrow . . .
