Live, Love and Laugh- the mid year update

Live, love, laugh

Isn’t that what life is about ?  We are just about half way thru the year and it is time to do a little recap.

Running:  3 5K’s, 3 half marathons, and my first back to back challenge.  I set course PR’s on my 5K’s, ran my first half marathon in the rain and set another course PR and then there was the other 2 half marathons.  Best Damn Race in New Orleans and Utah Valley half were not my best performances but hello?  New Orleans and Utah Valley, there was a lot to love about those adventures!  I can’t forget the Gasparilla Lime Cactus challenge!  I ran a 15K on Saturday and a 8K on Sunday.

Create Your Own Visited States Map

In my world it is all about results but when your goal is to live, love and laugh- I am giving myself an A!  I had added 2 new states to my map so far this year and tons of fun and laughs with my hubby, friends and even Coach M!

Crosstraining:  Let’s just go with a B in that category.  There is definitely room for improvement!  I have spent more time on my golf game and played in my first golf scramble.  I am loving my kayak and I have been pretty faithful to my ActivMotion bar.  Yoga is still one of my favorites and I have had many weeks with 2 classes attended at the studio!  It is all good stuff but I am not out there flipping tires or anything!  LOL!

Life in general:  My FMLA time served me well.  When you finally get quiet and really get still you can focus on yourself.  I have made some big decisions and the rest of the year will be focused on a new adventure!  I am giving myself an A for being BRAVE and moving forward!  This is HUGE for me and I can’t wait to share the news!  Stay with me!

Link up with Marcia, Erika, and Patty for Tuesday on the Run- even if it is Wednesday!

Remember, do what you love and love what you do!  Live, love and laugh, one day at a time!

I love to golf and play tennis in the Summer and that tends to take up most of my time that would be used in the gym normally. Oh well. Cannot DO it all!

Will look forward to reading about your new venture!

Running and travelling make a happy pairing. I’m also training for a half marathon with SportMe half marathon app, which calculates distance, time, pace and calories.

A+++ for moving forward and taking on new challenges! So excited for you. There’s more to crosstraining than flipping tires, just saying. Plus that effort makes one pee sometimes. So I’ve heard. 😉

  10. 100% agree with you on the time off–I too cleared my head. Of course, now that I’m back at work, my head is as clear as mud! I’m anxious to hear your news!

I don’t see Illinois on that list of visited states, so I’m thinking a trip to visit Coach M and me should be a priority…just saying…

You covered plenty of states in the past six months!!! When you travel for a race, it makes it more exciting and memorable no matter what your finish results were.
