Let’s make February Fabulous- Coffee chat

Good morning and thanks for stopping by!  I love having a cup of coffee and having coffee with a fabulous friend is even better!  Did you see my new mug?  Yup, this is my new favorite!

So let’s chat!

In case you we have missed each other over the last month I announced I am going to be a grandma.  I also announced that the baby is a GIRL!!!!  So, for my regulars I have another piece of news.  The baby has a name and her name is Luna.  I love it!  Luna is Latin  and Spanish for the moon.  The babies mom is half Mexican and half Chinese.  I was told in her family that is tradition that the great-grandmother comes up with the middle name.  This name will be of Chinese origin.  I hope it all means that she will sleep while the moon is out!  We shall see.

January 29th was my son’s 29th birthday.   I ran the Celebration Half marathon that morning to celebrate.  Nope, I don’t have the recap done but soon I promise!  If you saw my Instagram post I shared that my son was a 9.5 pound bouncing baby boy.  Trust me when I say, running a half marathon is much easier than childbirth!

I have 2 big fabulous events that I am looking forward to in February.   Wednesday, February 22nd I earned a spot on the Polk County Sports Marketing Major League Scramble golf team!  I will be on a golf team with 3 guys plus one Detroit Tiger!  I have volunteered at this event for many years and the hubby finally agreed to let me play!!!!  Now I better hit some balls!

Gasparilla run weekend is February 25th and 26th.  I have run the 5K three times.  The weekend hosts  a half, 15K, 8K, and 5K.   This year I am taking it on!  I have registered for the 15K on Saturday and the 8K on Sunday!  I can’t wait!  It is called the Michelob Ultra Lime Cactus Challenge. You should see what Coach M has done to my training plan!  No time for trouble, I have runs to complete in the morning and golf balls to hit in the afternoon!

So how will you make your February fabulous?  Thank you so much for stopping by for coffee!

Please stop by and visit Deborah and Coco too- thanks ladies for the coffee date!

What a small world! I just came over to your blog via running with attitude via Teresa with fabulous and fifty. And you are a Florida girl like myself! Celebration is probably my favorite race and I didn’t run it this year for the first time since it started…very sad. And Gasparilla is a favorite if mine too! So far only the 15k. Toying with signing up for the half. Congrats on becoming a grandma! Luna is a beautiful name and how sweet of the tradition.
