Just like that, back on track!

Just like that, I am back on track my friends!  It feels so good!!!!!!  2016 ended and 2017 started with a bang.  I felt out of sorts when I returned from my Texas trip and I was determined to get it together!  You all are so sweet and motivating- I appreciate you!  So let’s get this weekly wrap started!

Don’t forget to stop  by and visit our weekly wrap hostesses:   Holly and Tricia!

Sunday on the plan:  Rest!  Rest it was!  I saw a movie (Sing) with my nieces, a fun dinner out and football watching at the local Buffalo Wild Wings!

Monday on the plan:  30 minutes of XT plus drills

What really happened:  Travel day!  It sucked!  The weather sucked, the lack of food sucked and I was tired!  I did get 40 minutes of consecutive airport walking in!  42 minutes AVG HR 118

Tuesday on the plan:  800M @80%, 2 X 400M @ 95% and 800M @ 80%    I love these types of workouts!  The only workout I got done was crawling out of bed and headed to work for month end close hell. UGH!

Wednesday on the plan:  REST!  Oh, hell no!  I am getting that Tuesday run in and we are getting this year started!  Total 3.75 miles  AVG HR 158

Yoga?  Yes, please!  The studio started a new Wednesday evening class and I couldn’t wait to go!  The knees are still sore but the movement felt great!  It wasn’t pretty but I gave it my best!  60 minutes AVG HR  91

Thursday on the plan:  4 mile progession run

What really happened:  2 days in a row?  Yes!  WOO HOO!  4 miles AVG HR 167  I am starting to feel like my old self!

Friday on the plan:  Rest!  I enjoyed a nice night at home!  The hubby’s family is here visiting so we were able to enjoy a nice dinner for just the two of us.

Saturday on the plan:  10 miles!

What really happened:  I was a little nervous!  I fell half way thru 6 miles 2 weeks ago and then missed my 8 miles last Saturday and now I have a 10 miler on the schedule.  My BRF was away for the weekend so it was just me and the pavement!  Everyone on social media was chattering about the weather.  Snow, ice, wind and freezing temps were everywhere!  Races were cancelled and runners were disappointed!  The goal was to run an easy 5 miles, then mile 6 & 7 at a 10:00 minute   pace and then finish the last three.  What did I get?  70 degrees and muggy and rain!  This warrior is back on track!

It feels great to be back on track!   Workouts done!  Fitbit goal of 5 active days met! Laundry complete and office clean.  All just a few things that make for a normal week!  🙂

I am pretty excited, I signed up for another half marathon for March!  What out New Orleans, here I come!  Who is still racing in these winter months?

  10. Great job on your long run. I could go for 70 degrees and muggy opposed to the snow and ice we got this weekend that has made me stuck inside. I hope to get out this week for a longer run.

  11. Boy it doesn’t take much to mess up the momentum of a good week does it? Honestly, I was glad to be back at work today. I got up started my day with a walk and was even a few minutes early. What????
