Just another week of summer sweat!

Well, it has been another week of summer sweat!  We have had some rain too but yeah, it’s just hot!  The hubby was out-of-town this week and my daughter had a birthday, so there was a little fun to be had by all!  I am rather happy about this week’s activities so let’s get to it!

Sunday I kicked off the week with yoga at our local brewery, Grove Roots.  When you start the day off with yoga and a beverage you cannot go wrong!  60 min AVG HR 92

Monday was a rest day and Tuesday kicked off with a little speedwork!  You know, in the South, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!  4 X 400M  at a 5K pace.  9:24/9:14/9:21/9:22  AVG HR 151.  My BRF and I met up Tuesday evening for a Flow 2 class at the studio and she worked us good!  75 minutes AVG HR 80

Wednesday morning my legs were the effects of Tuesday’s work so I grabbed my sunscreen and went out for a walk.  60 min  AVG HR 116.  Nice to start the day off with a few calories burned because it was time to start the birthday celebration!  We started at the wine bar, made our way to the brewery for a Junior League social and ended the evening at Carrabba’s.  It was a fun mother/daughter night!

Thursday morning started with 4 easy miles.  This post pretty much summed it up!  AVG HR 154

You know we cannot celebrate a birthday for just one day so Thursday night we had a reservation at the Lakeland Escape Room.  If you have never been to one you should try it!  It was great family style fun!  Did we escape?  Hell no!  We were 4 clues short of a victory but we had a blast!
Friday morning I was up early and got my workout knocked out before I changed my mind!  I took out the Level 3 DVD for my ActivMotion bar and squatted, lifted and groaned for 30 minutes!  AVG HR 76.  The hubby got home early Friday evening so I decided to run my long run on Sunday.  You guessed it, Saturday is a rest day!  The hubby and I spent the afternoon at Cooper’s Hawk for a little wine tasting and snacks!

Speaking of summer sweat, The ZOOMA Summer challenge starts this week!  Did you sign up?   I totaled the week with 7.2 miles ran, 2 yoga classes, 1 walk and 1 ActivMotion bar workout.

How are you getting your summer sweat on?  How many more weeks until fall?

Thanks Kimberly! I have never seen a raccoon that big in the road, it really looked like he just fell over from a heat stroke!
