Jelly Beans and World Peace- Coffee Chat

May is my month!

Why?  Let’s first talk about Mother’s day!  Pull up a chair, grab that big mug and let’s dish a bit!  Jelly beans and world peace.  That is my standard answer when my kids ask me what I want for Mother’s day.  It is kind of a joke now, I have been saying it for so long!

Do you love Mother’s day?

I do!  I became a mom at 21 and I can definitely say my world has never been the same.  There are highs and there are lows but it is one job I would not trade for the world.  The past 2 Mother’s days the kids have taken me to lunch.  As in they paid for lunch and we were not at Wendy’s!  You know you have the highs we just talked about, this is one of them!  If you aren’t there yet, don’t give up hope, a free lunch will eventually come your way!

Are you hoping for a little something on Mother’s day?

My Mom is no longer with us so but I still have my Stepmother and MIL when it comes to gift buying.  If jelly beans and world peace are not on your shopping list, I have a  suggestion if you are looking for that hard to please she has everything already Mom/MIL.

Greetabl.  They believe, in redefining the art of gifting for all to enjoy, so you can send-the-love without breaking the bank.  I have sent a couple of these so far and they have been very well received.  You pick a box design, personalize it with your messages and photos and then pick a little something to go in the box!  It is that easy and they have choices for all budgets.  Super Fun! Click the Greetabl link and get 15% off your purchase just in time for Mother’s day!

May is my Month!

Did I already say that?  Well, I do have a birthday this month, after Mother’s day and I have a little Memorial day weekend beach action planned!  I have my party shoes on and a drink coffee in my hand, let’s get this party started!

As always I enjoy our time together!  What is on your calendar for May?  Jelly beans and world peace?

Thank you Deborah and Coco for the link up!  Make sure you stop by!

  6. I love mothers day even before I was a Mom! My husband has work the last three years (this year as well), so I try to do something special with my girls. It usually involves ice cream and being outdoors. This year I’m taking them to Camp Brigadoon (camp for chronically ill children) for brunch and outdoor activities!

My mom always wanted “a clean house and good kids”. Not sure what was so “bad” about us kids, but whatever. This year I’ll see my mom on Saturday along with a nephew’s birthday party and hurricane MIL on Mother’s Day. Joy to the world.

  16. I have a huge month ahead of me, too! I have several new clients starting this week (tis the time of year), I have an all-day Saturday/Sunday course coming up in two weeks, and our huge Memorial Day barbecue is the weekend after that. We invite 100 families so that’s always a lot of fun work. Of course with holiday travel, less that half can attend.

    Happy early birthday!

I don’t know what I will do for my mom yet. We are close, so I always find something she really loves though. I have taken her out to lunch before and I know she likes that. She tells me any time she can spend with me is nice. Moms are the best.
    Have a Happy Mom’s Day!
