My February Report Card

Hello March!  February was a short month for days but still packed a punch!  It was also the month of love which fits nicely into my 2017 theme: Live, Love, and Laugh!  Love is all around us, did you feel it?

Live:  In the workout department I cannot complain.  I completed every run on my plan for a total of 64.05 miles!  Yoga was on the schedule, I took 5 classes  and I played 45 holes of golf!  I dinged myself last month for not getting enough cross training in so I bought an ActivMotion bar and I completed 2 workouts so far.

The Major League Scramble made my February report and I am pleased to say that I hung all day with my teammates (all guys) and had a great day of golf.  The weather was not as nice as it could have been but it did not dampen our spirits!

Many of you may have noticed that I ran in a little race this past weekend with 32,000 of my closest running friends!  LOL!  Yes, it was Gasparilla run weekend and yes, I ran my first back to back run challenge!  Loved it!  Full recap to come.   GRADE= A

Love:  Love must first start with ourself!  If we do not love ourselves we simply cannot love anyone else.  I made the promise to myself to put me first and take some time off from work.  It is the biggest gift I could have given myself!  More downtime, more breathing, more fresh air and no deadlines.  It is just what the doctor ordered.  I don’t even feel guilty, nope, not one bit.  So what am I doing with all this extra time?  Who knows, but I am enjoying it!  GRADE= A

Laugh:  I laughed all the way home from Tampa on Sunday.  You know how excited you are when you finish a run you can’t wait to go out and sign up for another one?  Well, my BRF jabbered all the way home how we need to kick it up next year to the Amber challenge, that would be 3 out of the 4 runs.  I think she is trying to kill me!  LOL!

I do have the Best Damn Race in New Orleans coming up in March and I will once again get to run with my friend Tricia from MissSippiPiddlin!  Now that screams : great weekend!!!  The month overall still had some room for improvement in the laughing department.  GRADE= C

3/3 Light up the Night 5K–  Winter Haven, FL

3/26  Best Damn Race Half Marathon–  New Orleans

6/10  Utah Valley  Half Marathon- Provo, Utah   Remember MB15 saves you 15%!

Some fun local 5K’s will pop up in April and May so I will add to the schedule next month!  If you are running one of these races please say, HI!

Finally, this wraps up my February report!  I like to always leave room for improvement that means I am truly living!

  14. Laughing more should always be a goal! 🙂 In Feb, I went to Nashville for a bachelorette party and I’ve never laughed so much. Sometimes you just need one of those days/trips to remember how lucky you are and how fun life is.
