Coffee and a little Florida love!

Good morning beautiful people!  It is time for a little Florida love and a big ol’ cup of coffee!  You know I love it!  Just one big mug, a little coffee creamer and spoon of coconut oil.  Yup, if will keep you pretty!  Spring is in the air!  Grab a mug and visit a minute.  I want to share some of my favorite Florida spring things with you.
Let’s set the mood, over coffee:

My lilies are blooming everywhere!  I love the pop of color in the yard!  Guess what else is blooming?  Pineapples!  I sent Coach M a picture yesterday, yes this one has her name on it!  When it is ready a little Florida love will arrive in Chicago!

It is time for Spring training!  I will admit I am not the biggest baseball fan but there is something fun about spring training.  The weather is nice, the stands are packed and everyone is excited about a new season.  The Detroit Tigers play in Polk County where I live and I had a chance to go to a game yesterday.  Remember my Major League Scramble last week?  Well I got to see my new golf friend pitch! Fun times!  You should check out a spring training game in your area.

Spring fashion is in the air!  Time to get a pedicure and let those toes air out ladies!  Check out this blog post from Stitch Fix- 10 staples for your spring wardrobe.  Me?  I think I will try to add some colored pants to my collection.  Why not?  If you are ready to give Stitch Fix a try for yourself be sure to use my referral link!  Thank you and happy styling!

Florida springs heat up quickly and the humidity can get stifling.  What does this all equal?  Chafing!  Remember my 3 running wishes?  Well, chafing problem is solved!  Thanks to my running friend Holly, I found a new product that did the trick!  I had the chance to use it last weekend for my back to back runs, not one problem. Not one stingy moment in 2 days!  I am in love and I owe Holly a big hug and a margarita next time I see her!  You can find Trail Toes on Amazon, easy peasy!

This Florida girl loves her state but it is heating up and running anything more than a 5K gets pretty tough.  It is time to plan a destination run!  I have 2 for you!  June 3 is the 10th anniversary of ZOOMA Annapolis.  You do not want to miss this.  They have all kinds of special things planned that will make this a running weekend to remember.  Use code MARYBETH2017 for 10% off your registration.  Can’t make it?  They have a virtual option!  Do not miss out.  Headed over to ZOOMArun and register.

USE MARYBETH2017 for 10% off Registration

My second choice is the Utah Vally half!  I am looking forward to the challenge of training for an all downhill half!  This race is celebrating 10 years as well.  They are offering a great medal, 10 year anniversary jacket and the opportunity for a blogger/runner meet up!  Use the code MB15 for 15% off your registration.  You need to do something with all those fabulous spring miles you are logging in, right? Race is June 10!

Need a little Florida love yourself?  Come on down!  We have Spring training, theme parks, golf and the beach!   Check out Visit Central Florida for travel ideas!  Holler and let me know your coming, I would love to visit!

Thanks for stopping by!  Tell me something great going on in your home state during Spring.

I am linking up with Fairytales and Fitness and Running on Happy for the Friday Five and Deborah and Coco for our fun coffee date.

ZOOMA Annapolis was the most hot & humid race I have ever done. Remember, I lived in TX 17 years — I know humid. Zero desire to repeat that!

Love those plants! It’s still a little chilly here right now, so spring has a few more weeks to arrive.

I can’t wait to get back in the water and on an SUP. That’s always fun and exciting.

I also can’t wait for our spring vacations to start. We are going to have a blast. Mr PugRunner is all about spring training. I think baseball season is long enough, so spring training doesn’t count.

  27. My Nationals are spring training down in Florida so I can’t pop over to watch a spring game. You’ll have to catch one for me! 😉

We had spring in the air the week before last and early last week. A lot of the trees’ and bushes’ buds started forming, but then it turned cold and today hasn’t gotten above 38° (low 20’s at night). I’m afraid my hydrangeas’ buds have frozen and I’ll have another year without any flowers. 🙁

Enjoy your delightful weather before it turns hot and humid!
