Celebrate, plan, love and run- weekly wrap!
Hello and welcome back to the weekly wrap! The first week of February is over and it has been a busy one! February’s coffee chat is still up so please stop by and join me for a cup, I do share a little personal news. The weekend of February 25th and 26th I am running in the Michelob Ultra Lime Cactus challenge at Gasparilla. This challenge has us running a 15K on Saturday and a 8K on Sunday, sounds fun right? Oh, you should see what Coach M has done to my running plan this month!
Sunday on the plan: Celebration Half Marathon, Celebration, Florida. I still owe you all a recap and I hope to get that out this week. I can tell you that this is my first half that I have ever run in the rain! It was not my fastest half but I did finish , I did not melt and this picture took the prize for my most popular Instagram post this week!
Monday on the plan: REST! Whew! I needed it!
Tuesday on the plan: 3 miles 35:34 minutes AVG HR 163 Oh my was that tough! My legs were not happy about this run until mile 2. That is when I smiled and reminded myself that Coach M knows what she is doing. I will tell you I put on a pair of Lilly Trotter compression socks under my dress pants and went right on to work. AHHHHHHHHHH 🙂
Wednesday on the plan: REST and Yoga In our yoga class we have moved on to the second chakra. We focused on the lower abdomen. The Svadhisthana (Sacral) chakra works on our connection and ability to accept others and new experiences. Perfect! Loved every second of the class. 60 minutes AVG HR 89
Thursday on the plan: 4 miles with pick ups. The way I read this was to take an easy mile and then miles 2,3, and 4 run the first half mile strong and run the second half of it 20 seconds faster. I think I did a pretty good job at it and this run felt so much better than Tuesday’s! 12:09/10:16/10:08/10:04 AVG HR 164
Friday on the plan: REST! It was one hell of day! You ever just have one? UGH is all I can say, I could not wait for the weekend to start. I text the hubby to meet me and yes, I kicked off the weekend with one of these!
The weather was beautiful and my BRF and I met to tackle our miles and 10K. I love our Saturday morning runs! They are full of miles and conversation. My hubby always asks if we have solved all the world’s problems while we are out. Of course we did! We got our 7 miles in, ran the bridge and did about an 70 minute 10K. Perfect! Total time out 1:25 AVG HR 160
The hubby and I tackled a few household chores and while he was mowing the lawn I decided to take my happy hour to the lake. It was 74 degrees and the sun was warm, I could not resist! Add 30 minutes of kayaking to my list! AVG HR 96
We decided to end the evening with a little self-love. Oh yeah, I talked the hubby into joining me for a nice relaxing orange scrub pedicure. He gave me the look at first until I reminded him he could have a beer at the same time, he quickly decided it was not a bad idea. WE finished our date night with a light dinner and off to be early. Coach M has more miles on the plan for me tomorrow!
